Critics Choice Movie Awards Winners Revealed: Who Won Big?

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Awards season is in full bloom, what with yesterday’s Oscar nominations and last night the Critics Choice Movie Awards were handed out in Los Angeles. So, who won big? Let’s put it this way, a few of those Oscar snubs were Critics Choice Movie Awards winners!

The LEGO Movie Chris Pratt Is Emmet

Sure, Boyhood won Best Picture, as the Richard Linklater film is likely to do at those Oscars, Michael Keaton won Best Actor for Birdman, Julianne Moore won Best Actress for Still Alice, J.K. Simmons won Best Supporting Actor for Whiplash and Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress for Boyhood… much as we suspect the Oscars will go.

But, what gave us joy was that the Broadcast Film Critics Association gave trophies to Gillian Flynn for her screenplay for Gone Girl (Oscar ignored her) and The LEGO Movie won Best Animated Feature (Oscar hugely ignored that blockbuster hit).
