Disney has released not one, but two clips from their highly anticipated live action version of the classic tale Cinderella. Given the success they had with Maleficent, we hope this trend continues with other Disney animation classics brought to live action cinema.
The first of our two clips features the perfectly cast Helena Bonham Carter as Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. She has gifted her this great and magical evening -- a dress to die for, a carriage made of gold and of course those glass slippers. But, in our clip, she warns her that she is on the clock… so to speak!
Next up is Cinderella (Lily James) at the ball itself, and boy, does it appear that she is having a grand time. She is dancing with Prince Charming and when she believes that everyone is looking at him and wondering why is he dancing with this girl, he corrects her.
They are, in fact, gazing at her.
Kenneth Branagh could not have been a better choice to helm the live action Cinderella, based on Disney’s 1950 animated gem -- and what about the casting of Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother? Brilliant!
Cinderella lands in theaters March 13 and get there early, because the continuing adventures of our favorite Frozen characters are revealed in a new short film, Frozen Fever.
