Tomb Raider Reboot Hires Writer & Finds A Studio: Back In Action!

We’ve been hearing all sorts of reports about a Tomb Raider reboot and as of today, we know it’s the real deal. Warner Bros. has announced that it has hired Divergent screenwriter Evan Daugherty to write the screenplay for a reboot with Graham King attached to produce the film with MGM.

The original game debuted back in 1996 and would become a successful pair of films starring Angelina Jolie as the title character.

The game got a reboot in 2013 and has sold over five million units thus far. That had to tell the studio that there was major interest in this franchise that should be revived.

Those two Jolie-starring Tomb Raider movies banked a total of $432 million at the box office.

There are many thoughts as to who should replace Angelina Jolie in the series. Here are a few who we think would fit the bill!
