It looks like Pixar has another instant classic on their hands with the release of the latest trailer from Inside Out.
This new Inside Out trailer truly captures the soul of the film and shows why Pixar films truly transcend animation and have gone down as some of the most powerful, hilarious and heartwarming movies to come our way in the last several decades.
We meet Riley as the young girl has just moved to San Francisco with her parents and is not so sold on the idea that she’s going to like it. In a stroke of storytelling genius, we go inside her thoughts and learn that each of our emotions is a clearly drawn character.
There’s our emotional leader, Joy (Amy Poehler), plus Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Anger (Lewis Black). They help her get through the pitfalls of every day life.
But when Joy and Sadness get lost in the inner workings of her mind, Riley’s world is seriously challenged.
Now we know the crux of the Pixar story and it not only explores the nature of childhood growing into adolescence, but it is a road trip tale of Joy and Sadness finding their way back to Riley’s headquarters, aka her brain!
It’s a wild concept and in the hands of Pixar animators and storytellers, we could not be more excited for the arrival of the famed studio’s latest on June 19.
