With Avengers: Age of Ultron crossing the $400 million mark in domestic gross, it’s easy to see that Marvel Studios is ready to turn the spotlight on their next superhero movie.
That would be Ant-Man and given how it’s a new entry into the superhero studio’s canon, it may be seen as a little risky. After all, a superhero that does its thing all while the size of an ant? For fans of the character (that incidentally is an original member of The Avengers in the comics), this is a movie that is long overdue. And the fact that it is Marvel’s first “heist movie,” well, that has us quite a bit excited as well.
Marvel has released three new pics from the film that lands July 17.
The first features star Paul Rudd as his alter ego greeting a fellow “ant.” The second shot has Evangeline Lilly checking out a different version of the Ant-Man suit, and the third photo features the big three, Lilly, Rudd and legend Michael Douglas, who is making his superhero movie debut.
Ant-Man also stars Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, T.I. and John Slattery.
