Disney Pixar has released a series of short clips from their upcoming Inside Out that introduces us to the five major players. Inside Out follows the emotions that run wild inside the mind of 11-year-old Riley. She’s moved from the Midwest to San Fransisco and is none too happy about the sudden change.
But if Amy Poehler’s Joy has anything to say about it, they’re going to make the most of this awesome opportunity.
Then again, Bill Hader’s Fear will do his best to put his scary foot down to keep Riley from fully embracing her new life.
See, as teased in the Inside Out trailer, five major emotions are our main characters and filmmakers could not have cast more perfectly. Let’s meet the cast in this quintet of short clips from the June 19 release of the first Pixar movie in two years!
First up, we have to start with Joy. Amy Poehler talks about the joy of being Joy.
Phyllis Smith is Sadness, and the former The Office star talks about diving into a role that likes a good cry.
Next up, Lewis Black is Anger. If you’ve ever seen his stand-up or even his TV show, Black as Anger… that may be the best casting of all.
Mindy Kailing nails Disgust.
Bill Hader talks about the finer points of being Fear.
Inside Out premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and its arrival here on US screens is one of the most anticipated movies of the summer.
