Vanity Fair sure knows how to celebrate May the Fourth! Yup, it’s that one day a year where Star Wars fans have taken an otherwise normal day and made it their own. Get it? May the Fourth be with you, aka May the Force Be with You!
The iconic magazine employed legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz and sent her to the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and she has delivered our most stunning photos yet of the upcoming film from J.J. Abrams that is due December 18.
Sure, we’ve got a jaw-dropping photo of Oscar Isaac and his Poe Dameron ready to take flight in his X-Wing fighter. But, what if we told you we had our first look at Adam Driver and it was now confirmed that he is indeed our villain, the wicked lightsaber-sporting Kylo Ren?
We even have our first look at Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o’s CGI character and now we know her name, Maz Kanata.
The cover of this “May the Fourth” issue of Vanity Fair is also something special. It’s the one and only Harrison Ford as Han Solo with an old friend, and a few new ones!
While you’re in the mood, why not fully celebrate the big day today and watch that Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer!
Happy May the Fourth!
