Benedict Cumberbatch is already playing Dr. Stephen Strange and will be joined in the film with Tilda Swinton (The Ancient One) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo). Shooting is set to begin in November with Disney releasing the film on November 6, 2016 and will be directed by Scott Derrickson.

McAdams just finished a run in the heavily criticized season of True Detectives. She'll next be seen in Spotlight along with Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), Michael Keaton (Birdman), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), John Slattery (Mad Men) and Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games), a film about Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team and their coverage of the Massachusetts Catholic sex abuse scandal with a release date of November 6.
