Charlie Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estevez in New York City and is the son of actor Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez.
Charlie Sheen started his acting career in 1974 at the age of nine with a role in the made for TV movie, The Execution of Private Slovik. Sheen then began his film career in 1984 with small roles in Red Dawn, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and then his first major role in Platoon in 1986.
Sheen then starred alongside his dad in Wall Street in 1987 and then alongside his brother in Young Guns in 1998 and then Men at Work in 1990.
As a star, Sheen is best known for his role in the popular Major League and Hot Shots! movies. On television, Sheen took over for Michael J. Fox on Spin City for two seasons and has been starring in the popular Two and a Half Men since 2003.
In his personal life, Sheen has been a bit of a ladies man and been married twice. First to Donna Peele for a year and then actress Denise Richards from 2002 to 2006. According to an interview with Maxim, Sheen has slept with over 5,000 women.
