Shallow Hal is the story of a superficial man, Hal Larson, who is hypnotized by the life coach, Tony Robbins, into seeing people's inner beauty and not their external selves. Hal then meets and falls inlove with Rosemary, a woman who appears beautiful to Hal but obese to all outsiders, including his best friend and equally-shallow, Mauricio.
