As the Academy Awards ceremony gets ever closer, we are asking our readers: Who should win the Best Director Oscar? The competition is fierce between some legends: Martin Scorsese, Terrence Malick and Woody Allen, as well as new nominees Michel Hazanavicius and second-time nominee Alexander Payne.

Oscar Watch takes a look at The Descendants today and assesses its chance to win Best Picture. The Academy Award nominated film will surely win at least one award, for George Clooney.
