I didn't realize you were an art collector. I thought you just collected corpses.

Roger Thornhill

Roger Thornhill: How does a girl like you get to be a girl like you?
Eve Kendall: Lucky, I guess.

Do know what's gonna be here? Right here? A lake. As far as the eyes can see. Hundreds of feet deep. HUNDREDS of feet deep. Did you ever look out over a lake and think of somethin' buried underneath it? Buried underneath it. Well man, that's just about as buried as you can get.

Leonard: You must have had some doubts about her yourself. You still do.
Phillip Vandamm: Rubbish.
Leonard: Why else would you have decided not to tell her that our little treasure here has a belly full of microfilm?
Phillip Vandamm: You seem to be trying to fill mine with rotten apples.
Leonard: Sometimes the truth does taste like a mouthful of worms.
Phillip Vandamm: The truth? I've heard nothing but innuendos.
Leonard: Call it my woman's intuition, if you will. But I've never trusted neatness. Neatness is always the result of deliberate planning.

Roger Thornhill: I don't like the games you play, Professor.
The Professor: War is hell, Mr. Thornhill. Even when it's a cold one.
Roger Thornhill: If you fellows can't lick the VanDamm's of this world without asking girls like her to bed down with them and fly away with them and probably never come back, perhaps you ought to start learning how to lose a few cold wars.
The Professor: I'm afraid we're already doing that.

I may go back to hating you. It was more fun.

Roger Thornhill

How far would you go to take down a man who stole everything from you?

Joey Cassidy

Now let's you just drop them pants.

Mountain Man

Sometimes you have to lose yourself 'fore you can find anything.

Lewis: Your name Griner?
First Griner: What you wanna know for?
Lewis: I was wondering if you and your brother could take a couple of trucks down to Aintry for us. We'll be there about Sunday noon.
First Griner: Drive 'em down there for what?
Lewis: Me and my buddy here are taking a canoe trip down the Cahulawassee. We'd like our cars to be down in Aintry when we get there. Be there about Sunday noon.
First Griner: [sarcastically] Canoe trip?
Lewis: That's right, a canoe trip.
First Griner: What the hell you wanna go fuck around with that river for?
Lewis: Because it's there.
First Griner: It's there all right. You get in there and can't get out, you gonna wish it wasn't.
Ed: [to Lewis, whispering] Look, Lewis, let's go back to town and, ah... play golf.
Lewis: [ignoring Ed] I'll give you thirty dollars to take those cars down to Aintry.
First Griner: I'll take fifty.
Lewis: Fifty, my ass.
Ed: Lewis, don't play games with these people!
First Griner: Whud you say?
Lewis: I said "fifty, my ass."
Ed: [whispering urgently] Lewis!
First Griner: I'll do it for forty.
Lewis: Mm-hmm...
[to Ed]
Lewis: You good for ten?
Ed: Sure.

We killed a man, Drew. Shot him in the back. A mountain man. A cracker.

We figure what way is south and we start walkin'.
