Walt Disney is no stranger to giving audiences a live action version of some of their classics. With the success of Maleficent bringing the Sleeping Beauty villain to life, we look back at the studio's esteemed history and name 11 other animated films we want to see in live action.

With so many classic films in the Disney library, it was hard to narrow it down.

But, we did it and we proudly present the 11 Disney animated classics that need to be made into live action flicks.

1. Mulan

With its sweeping and epic scope and inspirational story for little girls (and boys) everywhere, Mulan is custom fit for a live action leap.

2. The Black Cauldron

One of Disney's most underrated movies, The Black Cauldron would bring a magical world of swords and sorcery to life, and with today's special effects, it could be astounding.

3. The Little Mermaid

Of all of Disney's animated movies, we think that The Little Mermaid could be the easiest to bring to a live action format. The biggest question though is: Who could possibly step into the tail of the iconic Ariel?!

4. The Secret World of Arrietty

Walt Disney's release of Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty was so magical it transcended animation. That is why we think a live action version -- with that Disney magic behind it -- could be just brilliant.

5. The Jungle Book

There is something about this story that keeps us coming back over and over. A live action version has been in the works for years, but never seems to take shape. Let's make this happen now!

6. Aladdin

The story of Aladdin has been told on the big screen, we give you that. But, the Disney version with its larger-than-life genie and love story at its heart... now that's the live action Aladdin movie we want to see.
