We have compiled 19 movie franchises that Movie Fanatic cannot get enough of. There seems to be no slowing down franchise movies such as The Hunger Games and James Bond -- heck, 007 is on his 24th movie!

1. Harry Potter
When your series is based on one of the bestselling book series of all time, that's a good place to start. With the casting of the three leads, fate struck and a movie franchise for the ages was born.
2. The Lord of the Rings
Now on its fifth movie with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, J.R.R. Tolkien has produced a world perfect for the movies. We could head to Middle Earth time and time again.
3. The Avengers
How could The Avengers not be one of the franchises we're fanatical about? With Avengers: Age of Ultron coming at us, we're just getting started.
4. James Bond
James Bond seems to get better with age. Now on his 24th film, 007 shows no signs of slowing.
5. Star Wars
The Force is so with this series that we're getting a new trilogy four decades after it started. Luke, Leia and Han Solo have become not just pop culture legends, but cultural icons.
6. The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games honestly had us from the pages of Suzanne Collins' book. The fact that the movies have been so good... all the better!
