Making a spin-off movie from a beloved flick is a tricky business. But, oftentimes they work. We found 9 that unfortunately did not.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
We love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but this movie is a poor excuse for an X-Men movie. Sorry, Hugh, we are thrilled though that you got to make the awesome Wolverine. But, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, that has to go.
American Pie Presents: Band Camp
"One time at band camp" is a line in a classic comedy, American Pie. It does not, and should not, make for an entire movie as they did with American Pie Presents: Band Camp.
Tommy Lee Jones won an Oscar for playing his U.S. marshal character in The Fugitive. So, let's give him his own movie and call it U.S. Marshals and have him chasing after Wesley Snipes. Nope, not a good idea.
We loved Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman opposite Michael Keaton in the Batman movie. But, Halle Berry in a solo Catwoman movie, why --- simply, why?!

Dwayne Johnson starred in The Scorpion King and it wasn't his fault that this movie was terrible. But... it did do one thing -- created a new franchise. They've made four Scorpion King movies!
