It's a new year and that means a whole new set of films set to entertain audiences in 2015. On record, it should be the best year ever for cinema. But, it has to start somewhere and that somewhere is January.

From Johnny Depp to Chris Hemsworth and Gwyneth Paltrow, the biggest stars in Hollywood have movies coming out this month.

So, which ones make the grade?

Click through and discover the best movies of January.

1. The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death

The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death
The follow up to the Daniel Radcliffe horror flick takes place as London is being bombed in World War II. A group of orphans is taken to a countryside home and it's that Woman in Black house! Wonder if they'll stay? Look for it January 2.

2. Selma

Although it opened in a few theaters in New York and LA in December, the entire country can check out Selma when it arrives January 9. The true story of MLK and his historic march from Selma to Montgonery is a don't miss and the first true must-see of 2015. It honestly is our favorite to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

3. Taken 3

Taken 3
It's the third Taken and in Taken 3, Liam Neeson's Bryan MIlls is framed for his wife's murder. He'll prove his innocence and make the killers pay with his "special set of skills" when Taken 3 lands January 9.

4. Inherent Vice

Inherent Vice
January 9 also finds Paul Thomas Anderson's latest (and perhaps greatest) film opening nationally after a limited run in December. Joaquin Phoenix is a '70s-era private detective who quickly winds up in way over his head.

5. The Wedding Ringer

The Wedding Ringer
Kevin Hart had one of the better years on screen with 2014 and isn't wasting any time in 2015. January 16 finds him pairing with Josh Gad as a man who can be your Best Man for a price. We visited the set of the comedy that also stars Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and think the first great comedy of 2015 lands in Hart's latest.

6. Paddington

January 16 also finds one of the most beloved children literary characters of all time getting his live action movie. Nicole Kidman stars as Paddington finds his way through London and, hopefully, into our hearts.
