What else can you look forward to this fifth month of 2015?

We found nine varied films from comedies to action to musicals to tickle your fancy.

Click through and discover the cinematic joys to come in our May Movie Preview.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron
May 1 finds one of the, if not the, most anticipated movies of the summer which is finally here. Avengers: Age of Ultron is the Joss Whedon written-directed sequel to The Avengers and finds our favorite heroes battling their most notorious foe, the AI robot Ultron. With James Spader providing the voice for the villain and the introduction of new characters, such as Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor Johnson's Quicksilver, we cannot wait for The Avengers' next great battle!

2. Hot Pursuit

Hot Pursuit
Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon not only star, but serve as producers on this comedy road trip crime thriller. Witherspoon is a San Antonio cop and she’s sent on her dream job when she accompanies a Federal Marshal to pick up a high level drug cartel member and his wife (Vergara) to testify against a cartel leader in Dallas. When Vergara’s husband and Witherspoon’s partner are shot dead, the two must hit the road and try to stay alive long enough to get to Dallas. But, things are not that simple. Vergara might not be who you think she is and Witherspoon may have more chutzpah than she lets on. Hit the road with Hot Pursuit on May 8.

3. Maggie

Abigail Breslin is Maggie and she’s got a bit of a virus. Her dad (Arnold Schwarzenegger) will do anything to protect her and bring her back to health. There’s just one problem… her virus is of the zombie variety. Good luck, dad. Maggie tries to not eat brains on May 8.

4. Pitch Perfect 2

Pitch Perfect 2
The Bellas are back! This time out, after Rebel Wilson flashed POTUS during a concert and the group gets banned, their only way back to being reinstated is to win the international a cappella competition. It’ll be fun to watch them try. We could not be more excited for the return of the singing comedy sensation that was a surprise hit the first time around. Anna Kendrick returns and is joined by a new Bella, played by Hailee Steinfeld. Will there be a new Cups for Kendrick? You’ll see on May 15.

5. Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road
For this Movie Fanatic, there are few movies we are more excited about this summer than George Miller’s return to the Australian post-apocalyptic future with Mad Max: Fury Road. Tom Hardy steps in for Mel Gibson and from the looks of those operatic trailers -- this fourth Mad Max film could be the absolute best. I mean, Charlize Theron as a futuristic heroine and how crazy good does Nicholas Hoult look as an out-of-his-mind desert dweller who is fond of saying, “What a lovely day?”

6. Good Kill

Good Kill
In this era of drones being used so frequently in battle, the Ethan Hawke-starring Good Kill has us seriously intrigued. Hawke is a pilot who has flown many, many missions in war in the Middle East. Now, he spends his days driving to work outside of Las Vegas. He’s still a military pilot, it’s just he flies drones like a video game and the results are just as lethal as when he was overseas. Yet now, he goes home at the end of every day like it’s nothing. That’ll mess with your head. Check it out May 15.
