Harvey Keitel

Harvey Keitel was born in New York City and joined the Marines at sixteen and was deployed in Lebanon.  Upon his return, Keitel was a court reporter to pay his bills while he pursued his acting career.

Keitel's movie career rose to prominence when he starred in three of Scorsese's first movies: Who's That Knocking at my Door, Mean Streets, and Taxi Driver.  After his career hit a bit of a lull, Keitel's later comeback career includes Thelma and Louise, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk til Dawn, Cop Land, U-571, Red Dragon, and the National Treasure movies.
