Jason Lee was a professional skateboarder in the late 1980s and early 1990s before he became an actor. Lee left skateboarding to persue a full-time acting career and his first major role was in Kevin Smith's Mallrats in 1995. Since then he has appeared in almost every Kevin Smith movie, including Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Stirke Back, Jersey Girl, and Clerks II.
Outside the View Askew-nverse, Jason Lee has had a very successful career starring in Enemy of the State, Almost Famous, Heartbreakers, Vanilla Sky, Big Trouble, Stealing Harvard, A Guy Thing, The Incredibles, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
On television, Jason Lee has the lead on an extremely successful television show, My Name is Earl on NBC.
