Selena Gomez started her acting career at an extremely young age.
From 2002-2006, she played Gianna on the children's show Barney & Friends.
Selena Was then discovered by the Disney Channel, and before landing one of the lead roles on Wizards of Waverly Place, she had guest starred on The Suite Life of Zach & Cody and Hannah Montana.
She has also acted in the Disney original films Another Cinderella Story and Princess Protection Program.
Gomez has landed roles on the big screen film Ramona and Beezus, and is starring in the upcoming film Monte Carlo.
She has also participated in the UR Vote Count campaign, which encouraged young adults to become more involved in politics, and learn more about the candidates. Selena is also the spokesperson for Borden Milk & State Farm Insurance, as well as the ambassador of DoSomething.org, which is a charity for dogs. In addition, she is involved with Disney's charity Friends for Change.
