The first trailer for The Nice Guys has arrived. Red Band and everything!!
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of the best movies of all time. Shuddup and roll with it. If you have seen it and didn't love it, watch it again.
If you haven't seen it, order it up in any way possible and start watching. Stat.
The Nice Guys is being touted as the "spiritual sequel" to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and from the looks of the trailer, that's not an overstatement.
In the new movie, the unlikely and hilarious duo are Russell Crowe (Les Miserables) and Ryan Gosling (The Notebook). One a guy who helps people out and the other a private eye. They're both looking for a missing girl, played by The Leftovers Margaret Qualley.
By the way, if you haven't been watching that stellar TV program, congratulations, you now have another 20 hours of your life to binge away.
Other cast members of The Nice Guys include Kim Basinger, Matt Bomer (American Horror Story) and Rachel Brooke Smith.
The trailer features a ton of groovy (it is taking place in the 70s after all) dialog and ridiculous action, including a fantastic scene in which Gosling's PI character and another fellow fall many stories from a tall building.
You every wondered what might happen to you if you don't land on top of a car or in a pool? Find out by watching the trailer.
Tell me you don't laugh.
I also loved Gosling's character saying nobody really got hurt and his rationale behind making the statement.
Bottom line: Summer 2016 is a long, long way away, and if Warner Bros. wants to pepper us with many more trailers for this flick, I'll be on board.
How about you?
