For the first trailer for The Night Before, I was just laughing the whole time. Now I'm kind of sad.
"This tale is not about Santa or ponies, it's about three dudes, three bros, three ride-or-die homies."
It's not that there is a lot of different material in this trailer, but the emphasis on the meaning of the night seemed to be highlighted.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackle star as the three dudes who have been sharing Christmas together for the last 14 years.
Fourteen years ago Gordon-Levitt's character lost his parents, and the three of them have been inseparable ever since. Now Rogen is starting a family and Mackle is too famous for the silly tradition. It's time to move on.
WHAT? What kind of sad ass comedy is that?? It's very sad, when you break it down. Surely the dudes will come to a new agreement before the end of the movie including all of them in Christmases going forward.
Or Gordon-Levitt will fall in love.
It's full of all the silly stuff you'd imagine from a comedy brought to you by the guys who did This is the End, Bad Neighbors and The Interview, including Rogen questioning who the hanging guy is in a Christian church and vomiting when he learns it's Jesus.
Jillian Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Mindy Kaling co-star, and even Miley Cyrus appears. Did anybody think we could keep her away what with the Wrecking Ball and all?
The movie will be in theaters this Thanksgiving, so not too far at all!
